Eurexpo Lyon, at the heart of global innovations in Food Services

 

From 23 to 27 January 2025, Eurexpo Lyon hosted SIRHA LYON 2025, the leading international  event for Food Service professionals. Thanks to the venue's impressive capacity and adaptability, which make it ideal for major international events, a variety of spaces were laid out to host competitions, innovations and meeting areas, underlining Eurexpo Lyon's position as a leading venue for large-scale trade fairs and exhibitions.

A record-breaking instalment at Eurexpo Lyon

With a sharp rise in the number of visitors, this year's Sirha Lyon broke new records, confirming the show's broad appeal and underlining Eurexpo Lyon's capacity to host major international events. Over the course of five days, a total of 257,363 trade professionals visited the venue, an increase of 25% compared with the previous instalment.
From the minute the doors opened to the moment they closed, the halls at Eurexpo Lyon  were the scene of strategic meetings and presentations of key innovations for the future of the sector.
 

AN IDEAL SETTING FOR A LARGE-SCALE EVENT 

Thanks to its modern facilities, which are ideally suited to hosting large-scale events, Eurexpo Lyon provided the perfect setting in which to discover and discuss the latest trends and innovations in the sector.

The venue's 140,000m² of modular space made it possible to welcome:
•    257,363 trade professionals, of which 15% were international visitors and 56% were decision-makers
•    2,300 exhibitors representing 40 countries, as well as 14 international pavilions
•    4,700 brands
•    16 competitions, including 3 international competitions: the World Pastry Cup, Le Bocuse d'Or and the French Bakery Cup

 

 

Specific spaces and areas for a truly immersive experience 

Eurexpo Lyon, which is acknowledged for its expertise in hosting international trade fairs, set out specially-designed spaces for both exhibitors and visitors, in order to respond to all the sector's needs and expectations: 


•    COMPETITION ARENA: an iconic area at the show, which hosted some of the biggest international competitions, including the World Pastry Cup and Le Bocuse d'Or
•    SIRHA BAKE: a space devoted to baking and fermentation techniques, highlighting traditional craft know-how
•    SIRHA FOOD FORUM: a central stage area for hosting debates and conferences on the future of Food Services
•    SIRHA MÉTIERS DE BOUCHE (FOOD TRADES): an area bringing together professionals from various food-service trades, notably sommeliers, butchers, fishmongers and cheese-makers
•    SIRHA COFFEE SHOW: a celebration of the art of coffee-making, with France's best baristas
•    SIRHA INNOVATIONS: a showcase area, which presented the latest trends in the sector, as well as the winners of the Sirha Innovation Awards
•    POP UP FOOD CONCEPT: an immersive experience combining gastronomy and art in an innovative setting

 

A FRENCH WINNER OF THE BOCUSE D'OR AT EUREXPO LYON 

It is impossible to talk about Sirha Lyon without mentioning the prestigious Bocuse d'Or competition. This year, France's Paul Marcon and his assistant Camille Pigot won the competition. It was a particularly emotional and proud moment! A special gala evening provided the ideal opportunity to celebrate this victory at La Sucrière, a venue that is perfectly suited to hosting this type of event.
